I was wondering how often good deals come out? I was considering the 750+100 dollar off of E1705 deal, but then I thought I could wait it out a little longer. i'm looking for a laptop for college so I think I would buy it latest buy July. Do you think any other very good deals will come out for Dell by then?(i'm specifically looking at the E1705 model)

Price drops are expected for the Dual cores by about 30%. I am sure that Dell is getting ready to clear out their inventory for the next generation of processors. I hate to prognosticate but I think that many MORE deals will be around.

When I bought last year, the $750 coupon was a rarity. Now, there is a big string of time where the pricing has been aggressive and those deals have persistent. I would think it would be just better if they just price it down rather than have a gimmick of 'discounts' every week. It does make you feel good when you save '$850', though, than just saying I bought a PC for $1200.
