    1. Restart the computer and during the boot process, use the appropriate key (often F2) to enter the BIOS. For details, check the information that came with your computer.
    2. In the BIOS, navigate to the TPM Security entry. Select Off, press ENTER, press ESC, and then select Save Changes and Exit.

That's what I was afraid of. I don't have any option for TPM in my bios anywhere. bios V A08. Maybe it can't be disabled at the hardware level anymore?

What computer do you have? What error messages do you get, if any? What exactly is the problem?

I have the XPS 1530 no error msgs. I just don't use it and probably never will. I have it disabled at the software level but I was just hoping there would be a way at the hardware level.

I don't think there is as no offering in BIOS. It appears you might be worried about a non issue as you have disabled at the software level. I am know thinking you well how to say nicely? Paranoid? Doing well sensitive private stuff? Not an issue I think. In my re-researching (Google) I found some NBR stuff where I even posted (long ago) here is the link. You can't do anything so don't worry.

Dont think the 1530 has a TPM module.
