<I've done some forum-searching but haven't come across this exact issue:>
Inspiron 710m running XP Home SP3
Recently did a re-install using original Dell disc, the purple one labeled "Operating System Already Installed On Your Computer". During the install I limited the reformatting to C: drive, ignoring all other partitions on my hd.
The machine's running fine except that I no longer have the "Owner's Manual" icon on the desktop & I have no idea how to access the "Dell PC Restore" function.
If I go into Disk Management, I still see an 'unknown partition', 3.13GB formatted FAT32, which leads me to believe the factory restore partition is intact--but I don't know how to access it.
Thanks in advance for your time [:p
