Ok, this might seem like a very noob question, but I just got my m1330, but it seems like it doesn't have bluetooth function at all. I looked through control panel (still getting used to Vista), and it doesn't seem to have a turn on/off function for bluetooth. Where is it!??!

Control Panel > Network and Internet
You should see a 'Bluetooth Devices' option.

Uhoh.... I went to CP > Network and Internet, but there is NO "bluetooth devices" option there! Did my machine come without bluetooth even though I built it with bluetooth!?

If so, is there a way for them to send me a bluetoth adapter I can stick in somewhere?

Have you checked the BIOS to see if it's installed?

Yes it's possible to install it yourself. It's located right under the XPS logo on the left side above the keyboard.

Yeah, my Wifi is on and everything, and I've checked every possible setting/configuration option, and it's like bluetooth was never installed on here.

How do I check the BIOS to see if it's installed? Is it through diagnostics? Thanks for all your help guys.

As the computer boots, hit DEL and go into the BIOS. Check for installed devices (I don't recall exactly which page it's on, but you'll find it).

Thanks Freelancer, after doing a clean install, the Bluetooth driver wasn't one of the drivers listed on Dell's support site nor on any 'must download' tools and I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out why it wouldn't work.

Good info for ppl with bt option and doing clean installs.

    Rep for you.
