Got my new dell inspiron 15R laptop with I5-2420M sandy-bridge processor and AMD discrete graphics card. However, when I use it, it always use the Intel HD on-board graphics, so, how can I switch over to the AMD one and take advantage of using the discrete card?

    Thanks!

Do you have the AMD driver installed?

If nothing else there should be a setting in the BIOS to boot one or the other

It shows both AMD Radeon HD 6470M and Mobile Intel HD Graphics under Device manager/Display Adapters. So, I believe the AMD driver was installed.
