    How do i check the manufacturer of the lcd panel for vista...? and the harddrive.? sorry i am new to vista and the lcd panel is hurting my eyes and i also got the 1680X1050 -_-

    go to control panel--> device Manager--> double click on device you want to check (the DISK DRIVE manufacturer will likely be listed right in the name), but double click on your monitor...--> DETAILS tab --> Under drop down PROPERTIES window, click on HARDWARE IDs --> The letter/number combo that comes up will be the clue to your manufacturer...google the code (or search on here) and you will find the maker...
