Is there any way to customize what the media buttons do on the Vostro 1500?

Such as what music player is uses and whatnot.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks.

Yes, search the threads - some guy found a way to make calculator come up when you push the Windows-menu (not Start) key, and for media player (I think) to come up when you hit the MD button.

It can be done in the registry.

    Local Machine/System/ControlSet00*/Control/MobilePC/HotStartButtons/0

replace the asterisk in ControlSet00 with each ControlSet, you need to set both. You can plug in which application you wish to use replacing MediaDirect app.
