can you guys tell how you get all these things? it's pretty unfair some of you get 200 cheaper stuff and i have to pay more because I lack knowledge in dell.

by the way, i returned 2 laptops, could i use that? "I AM SO ANGREEE! I returned two laptops and you lied to me that the 2nd one was fixed and the problem wasnt there, but it still was!!!"

could that work? the story is true

you could use that. but honestly if you aren't upset with anything or feel misinformed do you think it's really right to try to squeeze goodies out of dell?

It probably isn't the best idea to take advantage of them, but because of your two delays, just go on Dell Live Chat, explain your problem, ask for next day shipping, and they will happily give it to you. That's what I did. :)

Somewhere on this forum, someone, I forgot who, wrote a whole post on how they got their discount.
It involved calling Dell to order and then wasting the dell representative's time by stalling and then finally saying... "hmm..thats not the price I was looking for"
    Or something like that..

There's lots of ways to get discounts from Dell, but losing your dignity is a much bigger problem then getting free discounts.

i don't care. they screwed me over with my laptop and replacement and inconvenienced 20 days of my time trying to fix the damn things. They straight up lied to me, so why the hell should i care about my dignity when they are the ones who lied?

like i said..use that. you seem a little more serious than you were in your first post about how ANGREEEE (lol) you were. just take what you said and say it to a dell rep; it should get you somewhere.

Well, the remote you don't have to beg for. If you legitimately ordered from EPP and could not configure the remote for your order, call up and explain. They seem to just be sending them out rather than charging you.

I too failed with 3 different reps for getting a remote:

Rep 1: "Oh, you'll have to talk to the order-modification department for that""

Rep 2: "Its an option on the web site, it costs extra, shall I cancel your order and re-order with it?"

Rep 3: "It only comes when you have media center, it wont work with your laptop since you dont have it"

The Dell rep that frequents these forums and emails people occasionally has said that it should never have been expected to come for free, that that was simply a mistake by the reviewers, the dell isnt responsible for the mistakes that non-dell-employee reviewers make (which, duh, makes sense) - but to talk to the rep that actually sold me the laptop, when it arrives.

So, when it arrives, I will try one more time, and talk to that guy, since he's the one who told me it comes with a remote.

If I cant get it for free, but I am otherwise happy with my laptop, I will still be happy with Dell.
