I think my motherboard is fried on my E6400 and there is no service tag sticker. Is there any way I can find out if I still have a warranty? Thanks

other than having the original paperwork or logging into your dell account and finding the order number you'd have to call dell and ask for the purchase info.

Thanks. Is there any number I can give them that wouldn't have to be the service tag or serial number because this laptop has neither.

I would hope you have the original box you ordered it in. If you purchased it directly from Dell, the service tag number should be on the box, like on my m1530 and Studio 15..

There was a small informational booklet that I received when I bought my M1530, which had the service tag. If you can locate that booklet it's in there somewhere. This is something other than the manual. Not sure if all Dell's come with it.
