    Hi,
I checked and compared again and again and as advised by the experts here XPS M140 and Inspiron 630m are the same systems with differnet casings :) and brand name.
However with all the discounts (EPP/Education - 4%) I configured the XPS for $1350 and 630m for $1250. So xps costs more and it makes sense to buy the 630m. The only trouble is I don't own or have any small business. Does it matter. I can fill in my University Name (where I'm a grad student right now) or some junk value. Will I be able to buy it or it would create some problem and dell wouldn't sell me or the warranty wouldn't be valid ???
Any comments as how I can buy 630m (its only available through the small business site)?

My second question is for the same price I can get IBM Z60t? would anybody recommend Z60t or XPS M140/630m ???

    Thanks

You don't have to have a business to order a laptop from small business. You can just enter your name in the business and in the contact informaiton, and that should work -- contrary to what dell's order support will say.

I'd take a ThinkPad over a Dell every time, but you should really consider the FAQ in the hardware forum and post there. Without know your budget and what you plan to do with it, it is hard to help.

If you plan to order a business notebook from Dell/IBM I reccommend getting on the internet - it may sound strange that you use your name for your business over the phone.

OK. If you do it through the education site, click on "Good," instead of the other two (you'll see what I mean). It starts at $300 less.
