For some time now, I have noticed that Dell tech support chat does not work, giving an error involving the Talisma software.

I noticed that you only seem to encounter this problem when logged into Dell support. However, it goes away when you log out.

Therefore, to use Dell chat, simply log out before starting it up.

I have no idea why it works this way.

I did report the issue to Dell, and they said they would look into it.

used to have the same problem - happened in IE8 & Opera. Didn't matter what computer I used. I was blocked from technical support & sales if I was logged in, and technical support also failed to work after I entered my proper service tag most times. I could use sales chat after logging out. Never found a solution and Dell said they couldn't find a problem, everything started working sporadically last time I checked.

I was getting errors in IE/FF & in Chrome. Now, it just seems to be more of a sporadic issue for me.
