    Hey.

How can you maximize nVidia 8600m GT performance?
    It's a 256mb version. (+256mb from RAM added)

Here's a picture of Everest Ultimate information :

The fan speed is always very quiet, even if gaming few hours.

    Can I overclock it?
If yes, what is usually the most stabile status for Vostro 1500?

Can any other Vostro 1500 owner tell me what clocks he uses?

What drivers to use? I downloaded the newest drivers straight from Dell.com - are these the best?

    Thank you!

usethe 169.04 drivers form laptopvideo2go.com. they are very good. as for overclocking u can use rivatuner. increase the clocks by 5mhz each time until the pc becomes unstable. u cant tell u the exact clocks as all the cards have different capabilities even if they are from the same line

Because you have the GDDR2 version, your ram will not go very high, but your Shaders and Core should be able to go quite bit higher than stock. Check for stability and watch your temps.

I like the 169.09 drivers on my 1520.

As for saying what clocks you can run at - it varies by every card. If you're lucky, yours will go high. If not, well you won't be going very far.

    I run mine at 530/450.

    Rivatuner all the way!

And watch the temperatures. If you see a 10+ added amount of heat to the card then what you normal runs at. I'd suggest not going so high. Because you'll kill the card quicker.

530/450 is very safe to OC your card to. Your shader freq should be double your core freq to 1060. I OC'd mine through the BIOS at 600/1200/500 with no issues and it gave me at least 500 additional points in 3DMark06.
