I have a D610 with 768MB of memory and I was trying to upgrade it to 1.5GB. When I removed the cover at the bottom, I could see just one memory stick and it happened to be the 512MB. So I hesitantly replaced that with the 1gb and now I have 1.25 instead of the 1.5 I was hoping for. It's probably not going to make much difference but I feel a little stupid because that 512 is collecting dust on my desk while I'm using the 256. Does anyone have any idea where the 256MB stick is hiding and if it's possible to replace that one? I have no idea why the manufacturer would have the RAM sticks sititng in different locations.
