I am helping a friend with an older Dell. How do I find identify which model it is? The person purchased if off ebay 2 years ago. It has a front loading (left front) optical drive. I'm not sure if this is a US model as the info tag on the bottom has lots of asian characters on it preceeding the various info.
What I could get is : Dell LBL P/N 2U934.
Thats as much as I have so far, any suggestions are appreciated.
    Thanks

Does it not have the model series besides the power button and lights? Most of the recent ones do. Then again it could be wiped off too.

another option is to go to start-->programs-->accessories-->system tools-->system information

Also, try Belarc Advisor ( www.belarc.com). Click the Free Download link, install and run. It should identify everything in the system inluding the model, all presented in an IE window.
