    Hi All,
I have a Inspiron 9300..is there a sure way to identify who manufactures the LCD panel in my laptop ??

Reason for asking is that I am using it for processing pictures for my digital photography business and can't seem to get it calibrated to match my desktop LCD...if i know who makes it I'll try to buy a monitor from the same manufacturer for my desktop.....thanks...shkj

Check your packing list that came with the computer, it should list the manufacturer. You can also check Dell Support, look for the original system configuration link, enter your service tag and that might tell.

As best I can tell on the notebook model I got (not the same model as you have) my display is a Quanta, although it shows up as only a "Plug and Play" monitor under device manager.

I've been trying to find a color management profile for my display with no success. The color differences between it and my Samsung LCD panel with my desktop is very dramatic, a real red color seems out of the notebook's reach. As it is now with mine, I couldn't use it to do any photo enhancement as the colors are too far off.
