    Hi.
Just bought a 3. party battery for my Dell Studio 1537, but when booting up, my BIOS doesn't recognise it as an Dell original battery, so it prompt me that it will not charge. How can I turn this stupid, irritating function off?

    Hi, welcome to Notebook Review!

I don't think there is a way to make it accept the battery. You should just return the battery and buy an original from Dell.

I contacted the Dell customer support, and I must say I was really surprised over the solution they came up with. They sent me a new battery by jet-pac, free of charge. :) This is so excellent service that I wanted to share this with you all. And the 3. party battery is going back for a refund. I am a really satisfied Dell customer now.
