    How to purchase a Vostro over the phone?

    I want to build a 1500 over the phone, but I have a few questions :confused:
    1. What dell number do I dial?
    2. Last time I was able to talk to a rep at dell home, and she told me that I need a business ID number to purchanse anything from the business. What ID did she talk about?

    I just ordered a Vostro today at 1-800-289-3355. I would rather order on-line, but ordering over the phone allowed me to switch from Vista Businss to Home Premium. As far as needing a business ID, he didn't ask me for one, but I do have a personal photo business, which I mentioned. Generally, youu would only have a Federal tax ID number if you have employees, otherwise you use your SSN.

    As others have echoed here, I think it depends on what salesperson you get. The guy I ordered from was very good.

    you can always sign up on the web site then go through the options then call them after that they can pull up where you left off and modify anything after that thats what i did with my first order..
