    Hey guys.....

Plz can somebody tell me how to recognize difference between LCD and Slim LED screens for XPS M1300 ?

My question is because my m1300 is about to arrive in a few weeks and some people have received wrong screens for their laptops.

I have ordered a Slim LED one...

It would be gr8 if somebody can post pictures !!

    Thanks in advance

If you have ordered the LED, you will see the noticeable different...it's around 30% thinner I believe and it's quite an obviously different when you compare the 2.

The easiest way is as such and can be done before you even receive the system:

    1. in the systems final build stage, you call and get its service tag number from a Dell CSR. They access DOMS (Dell Order Management System) to get that.
    2. Go to dell.com/support/warranty information/warranty status
    3. Input your service tag when asked
    go to original configuration

It will detail your screen there and say LED (Light Emitting Diode) if it is. It will also detail a .3MP camera. These specs are the scanned specs of the system as it is put together

    for example:

1 GR549 LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY, 13.3, Wide Extended Graphics Array, VIDEO ELEC. STDS. ASSOC., TLF, CHI MEI OPTOELECTRONICS
1 GX074 BRACKET, SUPPORT, METAL, 13.3, LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY, M1330
1 GX081 ASSEMBLY, CABLE, COAXIAL, LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY, LIGHT EMITTING DIODE, M1330
1 N6704 ASSEMBLY, CAMERA, 0.3M, INTEGRATED, MANUFACTURED IN CHINA, M1330
1 RW485 BEZEL, LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY, PLASTIC, 0.3M, CAMERA, M1330
1 TP599 MODULE, COVER, LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY, RED, .3M, LIGHT EMITTING DIODE, M1330
