    Hi guys,

Few weeks ago I posted my Dell D600's problem here and got many responses back, I really appreciate that! Now since the main problem with my laptop is the loose DC Power Jack which prevents me from booting up the laptop or shuts down the laptop unexpectedly, I need to change the motherboard or change the jack. I really don't want to buy a $200 motherboard, or send to Dell to be charged $100 for only the jack. I found the jack on Ebay for only 8 bucks, so I figured out if I can change it myself, I'll save a ton here. So does anyone know how to? Could you guys please give me some instructions? I got the instruction of how to disassemble the laptop from Dell but they don't show us how to replace it.

    Thanks a lot!!!

You apparently know nothing about simple engineering and I probably don't even need to ask you if you have had any experience using a soldering gun let alone one on a device with tiny soldering points like laptop motherboards. Send your laptop to dell.. have them fix it... ^^
