I see people referring to boxing stage, kitting stage...when I do an inquiry on my order online, all I see is:

    Order Processing
    Pre-Production
In Production (where it's been sitting since August 7th)
    Delivery Prep
    Shipped

    What am I missing?

Well, the online status page usually only shows the above stages... However, the "In Production" stage has more stages to it, such as "Testing" and "Boxing." If you call into an automated phone line or if you talk to a representative, they should be able to tell you what exact stage it is in. Sorry I do not know the Dell Canada number though, if they even have one...

The way you get it is the way it is. What did you buy? If you call Support, they may be able to check the exact status on their DOMS. Most cannot.

You can't check your specific stage of production in Canada. Try talking to a CSR at a Dell kiosk, though. That's what I did.

There is no automated number for Dell Canada, but there is a number to call to talk to a representative about your order status, just be prepared to be on hold for at LEAST 5-10 minutes. I was on hold once for over 40 minutes but in the end they do eventually give you some fairly accurate status, but unfortunatly they cannot tell you EXACTLY which stage you are in. Here's the number: 1-800-847-4096, then 1-2-1.

Okay I just called, and first she says ship date is Aug. 21, then looks at another screen and says no, Sept. 7. Then she thanks me and says she hopes the service was helpful. Pffft.
