    How to set amount of shared memory on Latitude D830?

    After plowing thru the entire BIOS twice, I'm still wondering where I can set the amount of shared memory the GMA X3100 will use? Somehow, the default 8MB seems a wee bit too restrictive ;)

    No you cannot. It only needs 8MB for the desktop and the driver will ask for more memory if it needs more memory.

    Seems to be right, at the very least I can use 1920x1200 AND the 1600x1200 LCD in dual head and compiz under Linux, so obviously, there's some magic going on somewhere in the driver. Neat.
