Its a good thing to charge your battery to full capacity so it has a longer life. You can charge it and use it at the same time for the same results i do believe.
You might also want to do a reformat because dell puts a lot of bloatware on there insipron laptops. Just doing the removing it manually won't be the same because it leaves registry keys behind. There is a sticky in this forum on how to reformat by SouthernGirl.

Good luck with your new laptop, what model are you getting?

Oh very nice! Yeah the reformat is your biggest concern since that will make your computer run better/faster. Good luck again and let us know how you like it.

Did you order the XP cd with your order? If not, just call the tech support, and tell them that you just placed your ordered, but you forgot to order the XP cd. It might be better to do chat support. Its probably will cost you $10 dollars, but you'll get it in a couple of days. You could try to argue for a free cd, but that might take a few phone calls.

Thanks again for your help, i`ll probably order a CD, another question maybe you can answer it , let`s say that i have a full battery, and then i connect the power cable to the electrical socket, when i`m playing a game, the notebook is going to use the battery, or is just going to use the AC power? , and if i`m doing this, does it have any effect on the battery? to use the AC power? Thank you
