    How can i tell what make my 9400's screen is?

    I hear that you can know this sometimes by the invoice for your Dell (that came with the unit when shipped).

    There might be other ways to know, apart from actually opening the notebook up and reading the label on the screen itself.

    Right click on My Computer icon. Click on Properties. Click on Hardware tab. Click on Device Manager. Click on Monitors to open that section. Right click on Plug and Play Monitor. Click on Properties. Click on Details tab. Should say Display and then a alpha numeric code. The first few letters is what you look for.

    Your method is much faster, plattnnum, but I really do wish there was a property that spells out the full name of the manufacturer instead of a Manufacturer Code... makes me have to go google for the maker in the end.
