I'm a newb to OCing. I used Rivatuner and got my 8600m GT to 4000 on 3DMark06 from the initial 3200 by changing it from 475/400 to 600/500.

Then I decided that I don't even need to OC at all because I'm satisfied with the original so I set it back to 475/400 and now it marks in at 1600 >_<

    What did I do wrong?

Check your power settings. Make sure you are plugged in and on High Performance. Reinstall your drivers.
