    How will my 1520 play games

    I was wondering how my system (listed in sig.) will play games such as The Sims 2 and Starcraft II (when it comes out) as well as other main stream games?

    In my estimitationing, it will play Starcraft II at 183.2 FPS at maxed out details, 195 on minimum details.

    Blizzard games tend to be fully scalable so the 1520 can play SC2 fine. Though it won't be out for a while, the 8600GT should play low-medium in games that are released a year from now.

    Has anyone played The Sims 2 on their inspiron (with similar specs to mine)? I'm hoping ill be able to play it without any lag.

    Should have gotten the 7200 RPM HD if you wanted to game ;)

    I wont be using this laptop for gaming mainly, just for a few in my spare time.

    the 1520 should be more than capable of playing either of those games on max settings even w/o the 7200 RPM HD

    Congrats on getting your Inspiron. Just ordered mine today!

    Sims 2 will play fine, you don't even need dedicated graphics for Sims 2...

    Preliminary stuff shows complex future games like Crysis run really well on the 8600+ cards, so I think you'll be set for a while.
