    Hello all,

It seems I have made a purchase that I thought I was going to be able to financially commit to, but in a turn of events and some life events I have decided I need to return one of my purchases. How are they with returns? What is the best way, calling? Online? How long do they take to refund if I was eligible?

What I plan to return is an Alienware m11x R3, and I purchased it on the 6th of April.

I would call them and tell them you want to return it for a refund.

    Havefallen,

The return policy for our products can be found here: Returning Dell? Products | Dell

You may return your new or refurbished system up to 21 days from the date of invoice.

4 Easy Steps to Arrange for a System Return

Click here to fill out the Return Request form.
Work with your Customer Care Representative to resolve your issue. If necessary, the Customer Care Representative will set up a Credit Return Authorization, and instruct you on carrier pick-up specifics.
Repack system with all of its original packaging, and arrange to have it shipped back to Dell (Note: Dell recommends that you insure your shipment).
Once your system has been received back to Dell, you will receive credit on the full system price (excluding shipping & handling and applicable restocking fees) on your next billing cycle.2 The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping the system back to Dell.

More details can be found on the link. Please let me know if you need any assistance.

Thank you, I actually called a representative, an all he did was e-mail me a label, and gave me some random numbers. I printed the label and placed it on my box, printed my receipt and wrote the random numbers on a piece of paper and put it within the package. I just want to clarify if everything Is correct before I hand it over to UPS, did I do it correctly?

Most likely that is the return authorization number. Does it start with 15? If that is the case, write that series of numbers outside of the box as well. If not, please let me know your order # via PM and I'll look into it. :)
