I got this at the Dell Outlet, after my 15% off coupon it came to $424.15

after tax and shipping, the final price was $473.01

How does that look for a 473 $ laptop shipped? I think i got a really good deal.

For $473 I doubt you can beat it. It should be rocking fast for everything but games.

yeah i know its not the best, but its still Core 2 Duo so its not too bad. There were Centrino and Dual Cores on there as well so I think i made a decent choice. It was the fastest processor they offered for the 1525's on outlet I believe.

Thanks for the comments guys, making me feel confident in my purchase.

A 1.83Ghz Core 2 Duo is fine man. And 2GB of ram is fine too. The system will still fly I can assure you. Its a $473 laptop, your lucky you even get a Core 2 and 2GB for that price.

    Thanks man,

Yeah I ordered it, I'm excited. Hopefully I'll get lucky and catch a nice Dell refurb (new). Always a risk.

Considering the price, I think it's great. You're not planning on using it for anything too intensive are you? My only advice would be to upgrade to 3gb of RAM. The difference it makes in Vista is huge considering the price it costs to upgrade. Just check out prices on Newegg or whatever is your favorite dealer and wait for a sale.
