I bought this unit refurbished so Im hoping it was not returned because of hardware(such as severe light leakage).

What do you think of some of these hardware specs?

MODULE, HARD DRIVE, 80G, 5.4K, SMALL FORM FACTOR, MORAGA PLUS

    - I have never heard of Moraga?

MODULE, SOFTWARE, WINDOWS XP, MCE05U, ENGLAND/ENGLISH, INSPIRON, DELL AMERICAS ORGANIZATION

    - Is that the OS cd? It did not indicate I would be getting that as well. If so, Im happy about it.

MODULE, CARD (CIRCUIT), MINICARD, 3945ULD, DELL AMERICAS ORGANIZATION

    - Should indicate better wireless range, correct?

EDIT: Why wasn't the dual layer DVD and the Screen mentioned in my "System Configuration"?

The Moraga Hard drive is Hitachi. That disc is most likely OS disc from what I can tell.

3945ULD- is the Intel 3945 a/b/g wireless card. Not necessarily better range, depends on your router really.

The 3945 card won't give you better range, but gives you more networking choices. Most cards are just b/g, and the 3945 is a/b/g so you can connect to type a networks.

I'm not sure about the disc either. If you get the system with no disk, you can call dell or chat with them and request it.

As for the screen and dvd question - i'm not really sure why they don't list those items in the Outlet (i'm assuming this is where you are buying from).

Thanks Souther Girl. Your'e always quick to respond in the Dell forums. =)

Actually, if you remember my post from yesterday, I have already ordered the notebook. However, I have OCD. That being the case, I started to get paranoid after reading about light leak issues. Considering its a refurb, I am crossing my fingers that there were no problems.

I actually have a service tag, though the notebook won't be in my possession until tomorrow or Friday. Is there another way to find out specifics on the Optical drive and Screen? Specifically, it appears that b/w the matte and truelife, Dell uses 8 or so different screens.

    Thanks again.
