    Hm :(

    So I upgraded to Vista SP1

    Tried reinstalling the driver and it says "This driver only works for Vista"

    <_<;

    Any work around or what?

    hmmmI had trouble with this too at the beginning but I ended up uninstalling all the bluetooth software, and reinstalling it through dell's site.

    works now

    The only issue I have had w/the bluetooth driver and SP1 is I could not get rid of the icon in my tray, no matter what I did in the BT settings. SInce I currently don't use any BT I just disabled it all together.

    I used the latest driver for the bluetooth before installing SP1. I don't have any problems whatsoever and I can also disable it from the tray icon. Might want to check your bluetooth properties?

    I had it before SP1 also, and I assume their next version of the driver will work, if this one doesn't.

    Sometimes it helps to uninstall and reinstall drivers after installing SP1, even if they're the same drivers. I read this somewhere, but I can't remember where. It might have been this forum.

    Hm. Alright, I'll double check to see if it was connected properly...wait shoot.

    I never used by bluetooth in the past 3-4 weeks where a technician had to replace my mobo.

    Maybe he didn't connect the bluetooth correctly. Hm, I hope it is just that :)

    I read this thread and decided to check my Bluetooth connection by trying to sync my phone, I normally use USB instead.

    My Bluetooth connection would not work, and I installed SP1 recently :eek:

    After a few minutes panic I realised that I had the WiFi / Bluetooth switch on the side of my laptop set to "Off" :eek:

    It all works fine now I have turned it on again...

    BTW, I have successfully synced my PDA via BT since installing SP1 (how's that for acronyms?).

    I installed SP1 and then let Vista find and install the Bluetooth driver through Windows Update. Works for me.
