Hey kids!
Well I gota say I'm pretty impressed with Dell in this situation.
I ordered my 9100 on Tuesday the 13th, and it was out of their production plant on the Friday, and "in transit in U.S.". It is now Tuesday, 1 week after I ordered it, and it is on delivery to my home!

Now I think that's pretty impressive. I knwo Dell isnt thebest when it comes tocustomer care or support, so i have experienced, because I've been reading the Dell message forums and had to call them a few times, and was not impressed what-so-ever (though their warranty and return policy isnt half that bad), but 1 week for production and delivery, well that's pretty impressive if you ask me, especialy when it hit the weekend half way through!
Now i just hope my 9100 wont be plagued with a list of problems I have found others have had.. lol
Wish me luck!

as iam on it now, i dont have my list, but i will get on my IBM machine later on and tell you the list.
They are mostly things you should notice within the first few hours of running it -
allright i still dont have my list but ill try and remember.
- really loud fans that are.. well.. loud.. or dont ever shut off
- loud harddrive all the time
- speakers not working
- battery adapter's green light shuts off after a few hours and it doesnt work (this might be because the socket people plug it into is pumping out to much voltage or whatever and this adapter is good at.. adapting with the power thats coming out. mine works perfectly fine)
- adapter is REALLY hot (though thats kinda normal if you are doing alot of things on your machine. when im just browsing, it cools right down, and is cooler then my adapter for my IBM r31.
- when booting up the screen doesnt do anything, just stays black (even after hitting fn + f8)might be caused by the reed that gets pushed down when you close the lid. it might get stuck in there so the screen ends up always being off
- games freezing sometimes. Tho mine really hasnt. i have the updated ati drivers from the dell site and the updated bios. (updated bios was suppose to fix the hanging in games with the xps and 9100) i put th eomega drivers in but they didnt work out to well, so i took them out. i put the 4.4 cat drivers in.. well i was thinking about it then i said forget it, i will do that when i start having problems with games. my call of duty works fine for now.
I think thats all ive seen for now. most of the problems you should be able to pick upon in the first day of operation.
It's apretty quite machine and when the fans go on its not that bad.
oh and if you reformat your comp, and notice that the little volume bar indicator thing isnt there when you press volume up or down, its because you need to put the dell quick set program on. it enables or disables it.
thnk thats all for now.

little bit of an update. heard of some other people having these problems..
- phone jack not working properly and/or the fan near the headphoen jack is to close to it, causing extra static.
- video card giving out after about 15 days (that one scares me. gona keep checkn up on my video lol
I Think It's Coming!
