I am considering adding complete care, within my 30 day period - they want $359 for 3 years. I know with the Nvidia cards complete care was needed. Any thoughts on this model and the need for complete care?

$359 is more than half of the total notebook cost; that is way too much. Complete care is an additional warranty on top of the standard hardware warranty that covers accidental damages and theft. Any hardware failure (i.e : nVidia GPU problem) is covered with the standard warranty, you don’t need Complete Care, if you only want warranty against hardware failures then extend the hardware warranty to 3 years (that is cheaper than CC).

I second PhoenixFx. It's not worth it. I can guarantee you 3 years from now there will be better and cheaper notebooks that you will cringe about the fact that you still have to pay $359 in that 3rd year even though your notebook has become much cheaper and older by then.

359 is a great deal, especially if you have a accident. unless you want to buy a new pc.

they don't understand the concept behind accidental damage

Complete Care - was a must for me, as my 1530 was my first lappy...and, I can be accident prone..and you never know what could potentially happen.

For me..being cover *all around* was what I needed. :)
