I just received a M1330 that I ordered from ebay.. still deciding if that was the best idea or not, but I just couldn't wait a month and half for my laptop to come.

Anyways, on the listing, it said that the laptop was an LED screen, the exact words:

" 13.3 Inch Wide Screen WXGA TL WLED Backlit LCD with Camera "

I was checking under device manager and I saw the monitor is listed as "Generic PnP Monitor"

And under the warranty the parts are:

LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY, 13.3 WXGA, VIDEO ELEC. STDS. ASSOC., TLF, TRANSFORMER METROPLEX DESKTOP

BEZEL, LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY, PLASTIC, 0.3M, CAMERA, M1330

So my question is, does this mean I was jipped and it's actually a normal LCD monitor? Thanks :(

No its a LED monitor. The camera is only .3 which confirms it.

Device Manager calls pretty much every display "Generic PnP Monitor". It just means that Windows doesn't need a special driver for it. It doesn't mean "generic" as in "run-of-the-mill ordinary".

You sure it was a 256MB GeoForce, I thought only the 8400 (128 MB) cards came in the M1330...

What about warranty? I don't think you get any warranty from Dell when you buy it from someone on eBay.

Nope! Warranty is transferable so that's not a problem at all.

Why didn't you just read his actual post before replying?

Says right in the first post that he couldn't wait a month and a half.
