    Hi All,
my D630 is equipped with a SigmaTel audio driver. The Windows mixer shows different sliders for playback and recording. All check boxes are ticked.

    Recording sliders:
    Stereo Mix
    Line In
    Microphone
    Internal Microphone

    Playback sliders:
    Volume Control
    Wave
    SW Synth
    CD Player
    PC Speaker

So, if I put a signal on either the Line input or the Microphone input, I cannot monitor them directly, because there are no according sliders at the Playback side of the mixer!

I have never seen this before, and I am very confused about this. I guess there must be some misconfiguration or so...

    Does anybody have a clue?

    Thanks!
    Axel

These Sigmatel drivers are no better, if not worse than Creative's....
