When everything works right, it's pure bliss and happiness but that only lasts as long as my first time in the sack.

not only has the enter key fail like finding WMD in Iraq, the cd burner doesn't seem to work or work right; could be the software. Roxio or WM doesn't burn. i hear it spin spin spin but when i take it out, nothing. put it back into the drive: "what would you like to do with the empty disc?". well, shouldn't be empty, just burned an audio CD, didn't i? said complete... hum...

there's this slight warping by the left wrist area of the chassis where the bottom part meets the top. not sure if it's there before or i just noticed, either way, unacceptable.

the media buttons with a CD in the drive goes bonkers. it'll puke the cd/dvd out of the drive when it feels like it.

Sounds more like a Lada... get rid of everything Dell on it and you should fix the problem.

It's interesting that you draw that parallel. I once owned an Alfa ('93 164 Q4 sedan)...but I knew the risk going into it. So I kept my '89 Accord when I bought the Alfa! :D

I wasn't expecting an unreliable laptop when I bought my Studio 1535. Dell has had it for almost three weeks now replacing the motherboard, defective keyboard and, if I'm lucky, whatever is going to fail next! As you can see in my signature below, the Dell Latitude E6400 is my '89 Accord this time around...

Although every car Lada has ever built is exponentially worse than anything to ever roll out of Italy, most Americans aren't familiar with Lada. Yugo would be more recognizable, although it would be considered Serbian now (if I'm not mistaken) rather than Russian (Lada). Both crap, however.

Interestingly, they represent the majority of automobiles in Cuba. It was reported that the Russian government was offering a Lada in trade to anyone with a vintage American vehicle. The vintage tanks were worth at least 10x the value of the Ladas.

let's not go into the likes of Chery here. lol...

i would not trade the 1537 for much of what's out there of it's equal when it's running right but when the poo hits the fan, the laws of physics states it will not be distributed equally.

My 1535 was great for the first four months....and the WXGA+ (1440x900) LED is still (by far) the most awesome laptop display I've ever had....I've been hoping that the 1537 were over the teething pains of that affected some of the 1535s.

My 1535 was an early-production model (first few weeks) and I know there's always a chance of multiple unusual issues with a new product line...

Obviously I'm not too put off by the experience, since I've bought TWO Latitude E6400s after the 1535's problems began!
