    I got M1330 - screen is horrible

    Hi,

    I got M1330 and that's my first and I think the last buy from Dell. I got CM1309 LED screen, grainy and I can see yellow horizontal lines, light leakage on the upper border of the screen and the famouse cpu whine.
    Does Anyone know if warranty is international ?? Can I got replacement if I am abroad ? I bought it in US and now I am in Europe.
    Motherboard is A04 rev. and BIOS - A08 rev.
    I bought it when the 799$ discount was active, maybe Dell wanted to dispose off "bad" laptops in that way. I think more people stay with what they get and don't complain.
    I did a research and checked some laptops at stores and my friend's laptops. I must say that 70% of them has grainy screens. Some are less some more grainy. I have a Asus Z71v 15.4" (1680x1050) also with grainy screen and it's much worse than my new M1330.
    I wanted to buy MacBook Pro but when I saw it's grainy screen at store I changed my mind.

    this is amazing , I think most of Dell LCDs are of best quality , if you think XPS screen is so bad , try a Lenovo or Acer , you will be shocked how horrible they are.

    i think the LED screen is amazing...looks a lot better than my old M1210 screen.
    very sharp and vivid picture.

    yeah mine is great. Much better then my old M1210 (which was horribly defective, and dell replaced it with an M1330 :) ) You much just have had bad luck. Call up dell, they will replace/fix it. Especially since its an XPS, XPS has fantastic support.

    I got mine on Tuesday.. the LED screen was horrible. Haven't decided if I want another Dell or if it's time to switch brands.

    Actually I love my 1210 screen and now the 1330 which i'm keeping
    little vibration and all..lol
    so I'd get a new one.... until you get the right one.

    matter of preference. a lot of people here like the LED screen.

    i went through 4 different screens, 2 LEDs and 2 CCLF brands. I found the LG cclf to be the best looking one.

    My XPS-M1330 came with the LG LPL0000 Display. It really looks great. :)
