-
Nice! Even better than my deal. Mine was 1875 w/ 1g of ram.
-
-
Nice. Mine was similarly priced except I have T7500, minus biometric and 200GB 7200rpm HDD.
-
I got it from Ebay seller, but locally - face to face w/ cash.
-
so did I get an average price?
-
Buddy...you got a great price. Configure it on Dell and compare.
If your judgement on whether you got a good deal lies in its comparison to others, you will never be happy. I paid a total of 1338 for my system below complete like that is. Just as every other situation though, factors will affect what your final price is. So if you wanna put up with over 20 accidental cancellations along the way, you might just get a bit lower.
I'de smile though, you did well. -
-
Now you just wait and hope they actually send it.
-
Achilles: Face to face with cash means that the seller does not have to pay ebay, but it also means you have absolutely no protection if anything goes wrong with the transaction.
I have bought used laptops on ebay where, after corresponding directly with the seller, I asked him to list it on ebay and then bought it quickly using "Buy it now". -
-
I basically saw his item which was about 1920 bucks, sent him a message saying I'd rather buy w/ cash face to face, and he was okay w/ it and waived Ebay / Paypal fees.
-
I got the service tag to check the warranty status before the meeting took place, and I would love to see a guy who tries to rob me.
-
It has officially shipped, cant wait.
I wanted to get a sleeve for it, what sleeves are popular for it? -
I have bought four Dell's from ebay, all sealed and all excellent deals. I bought my M1130 last week, Dell wanted 2200 plus shipping and tax for the same computer I paid 1500 bucks for.
-
Only thing you could argue that would make the face to face transaction "safer" would be using a service like PayPal to do a payment using a credit card (the credit card is providing the extra protection not PayPal). That can still be done in person... -
Credit cards offer NO protection through paypal. Paypal protection does work well and you will get your money if it falls within the limit they stated in the add. It just takes time.
-
Hmn really? I thought AMEX can take money back from sellers if it turns out to be a scam via paypal.
-
This just one small section of the agreement talking about Credit Card advantages over their own protections... Read the link for the rest...
-
People usually don't read because... it's too long lol.
Anyways, a rep for ya! -
I recommend people always read agreements like that... Especially for situations like PayPal where they aren't subject to bank laws (as they aren't a bank) even though they pretty much act like one...
Give it a read when you have time -
-
anyone have sleeve recomondations -
If you bought a new, sealed M1330 it comes with a sleeve.
Again, if it is new and sealed, double check that you are actually getting the LED screen. I got two CCFL M1330's from Dell due to an order screwup on their part and both shipments weighed 13 lbs. The replacement LED plus an additional LED M1330 I ordered both weighed 12 lbs. -
I got a great deal on Dell m1330 on ebay!
