Just got hired to work at a Dell Direct Store in my local mall - pretty excited! :dell: I am definetly into computers and love to sell (used to work for a audio/video store selling high-end TV's).

It's a kiosk at the local mall with a lot of the Dell's systems and accessories on display. The pay is good too ($12/h + comission).

They're opening a lot of these kiosk lately, if you want to work at one, get onto Spherion and see if you have a kiosk in your area.

No EPP though...and I am looking to get a Inspiron 9300. I hope the coupons come back...

Good job. I wouldn't mind working for a Dell kiosk but I doubt Dell will every put a kiosk in my town especially since our "mall" has been under construction for the past year.

Hope they're not planning to release dual core notebooks before Christmas. Then I'd be bummed.

I needed to get a new notebook this calendar year so I bought a 9300 since the dual cores weren't due out until January 06

Congrats Artem, that's a good job and people will look to you for help and it's always nice to help and possibly help Dell with a sale if you represent them well. A question, is this refresh for the 9300 going to be before Christmas, like in the next month or two?

I think the new machines will be coming sooner rather than later. Have a look at this, 7800 go out on 29th Sept:

Edit: forgot to mention, the slides also show a new XPS machine which is said to be available at launch of the 7800 go

That would be nice! I hope they put a version of the 7800 in the 9300 or its successor...

Any news regarding what machine will be replacing the 700m? I heard it will be a 13" I believe or perhaps 14" but I wonder if it will have the latest Centrino technology appose to Dothan. And perhaps dedicated graphics?

They can easily fit a 100% sized keyboard on a 13 - 14" and even on the 12.1" model now, they could have.

Trust me, if you were in our position, you too would be voraciously clamoring for any new info or rumours or anything of the sort. There's lot of people looking to get a new notebook computer, and some thru Dell and would like to know if their releasing anything new so they won't buy something and it gets replaced a week later.

Just to let people know, the M170 is nearly the same as an XPS Gen 2 save for the upgraded GPU, some cosmetic changes, and some bump ups in the lowest configuration. Don't go looking for too many changes, because the video card's already stolen the show.
