Going on day 4 in the boxing stage. Why don't they just call it the "we're flying your XPS from Malasia to Tennessee" stage?

at least you're in the boxing stage. im still in the build stage and i ordered 4/22. they said my 1680x1050 lcd and 250gb 7200rpm HD is on back order. i know for sure im gonna get delayed a second time because it's supposed to ship this coming monday but i highly doubt that it will go through all the stages to ship by the end of tomorrow

I ordered on 4/28. I also have a 250GB 7200RPM and 1680x1050. ESD is 5/28. I hope they ship early. Monday I am calling and demanding free next day shipping and some credits. One month is unacceptable.

Probably won't have to request next day shipping. Once your first ESD comes and goes, they upgrade your shipping. I didn't have to ask and I have seen similar experiences on NBR saying the same thing.

Everybody says boxing should only take 2-3 days, so I am starting to get worried.

Just got off a chat with Dell, rep told me that the boxing stage typically lasts 24-48 hours. I am entering hour 96. This is bs. Also told me that she would gladly assist with the cancellation of my order. My business must not matter to Dell?

Nope. The flying from Malaysia is a daily 747 cargo flight full of baby Dells. The shipping stage delay is because they ran out of packaging material... :D

    Just kidding. Maybe not...

Should've said "How about instead of cancelling my order, you just get it to me before I go and tell everyone on major notebook and computer sites how bad your company is?"
