As my computer is now over a year old, so I am no longer covered and Im really not keen on the idea of taking it apart.
Upon researching this phenomenon I found myself reading a forum where someone with a Mac had adopted the tactic of tapping their screen until the late fly moved, this is yet to work for me.
Does anyone have any tips for how 2 resolve this problem?
Thanks
James

Hi.
Do you mean dead or hot pixel?

Now is the best time to take it apart, precisely because you're no longer covered under warranty. If you took it apart under warranty, and broke something, you'd not be covered in any event because you caused the damage, so you would still have ended up paying for the repair and you might have voided any remaining warranty coverage. As it is, you've got less to lose now than you did before, because at least you don't have warranty coverage to lose anymore.

It is defo a dead thunder fly.
He was thudering along during the summer, and only now have I bothered to investigate.
I know I have nothing to lose in taking it apart, but I still am not keen on the idea. I would have been happy to let Dell do it but too much time has passed. This is why I am looking for alternatives. -

Erm, no, not that big!
The reason I have done nothing about it until now is because I hoped it would drop from my screen of its own accord and that it is small. It is also however, starting to get very annoying.
