First, I purchased an XPS M1530 and it came with the acclaimed Samsung LCD 1680 panel and after a great deal of aggravation, I got it replaced with an LG. :D

While changing the panel, the tech screwed it up, so it went back. I figured that I would try ordering a Vostro 1500 and this time I would choose the lower resolution 1440x900 LCD to try to increase my chances of not receiving it with another Samsung. To my horror  , I have another Samsung coming installed in it according to the packing slip.

It should arrive sometime this week since Dell said that it shipped yesterday, but the tracking info shows that it did not actually go out until today.

I have resolved to check it out carefully and if it is even slightly grainy, the whole thing is going back this time without going through all of the disappointment, promises, and incompetence of technical and customer support.

Now, it is clear to me why Dell is having such a difficult time being outperformed by the rest of the computer industry and the stock market analysts are so critical of Dell which is reflected in their stock performance.

I am going to buy an Asus!
