Did I make the right choice to not upgrade the processor to 2.16 ghz? I kept it at 2.0 because I thought the increase will make no difference. I got the better configuration from the dell website by the way.

in terms of FSB they are exactly the same 667mhz. So the difference isn't gigantic. ^^ There are a lot of different things that make your computer faster, not only the processor. ^^ Also depends what you are going to use the laptop for. ^^ For everyday college use, it should be great.

Nope, no hardcore gaming... I'm a casual gamer. This laptop was for college mostly.

It would be a few percent at the very most.

i was wondering the same thing and i did some research and figured it was a good choice because the difference is not noticeable if your not a hardcore gamer and with that 50 dollars you can save it for better use :)

I made the same decision. In the UK the upgrade was £30 ($55) so I didn't think a 0.16Ghz upgrade was worth that. Instead I put in another gigabyte of RAM, and I'm sure that'll yield a bigger performance upgrade than the 0.16Ghz would have.

Cool, thanks for clearing that up. I'm glad I made the right decision.
