Well, thanks to all the posts. Thanks to all the grainihypochondria. Thanks for all the naggers. I would have never realized I had this issue. A bloody thumb and a broken tab later and I now have an SEC4557 in the lid of my laptop and it is absolutely amazing compared to the AUO screen.
*The worst part of the replacement is getting the bezel off, you need to peel it up from the inside (lcd) and push out. Take your time if you do get a replacement and have to put it in. Remember this is a laptop, not a car and anything that requires much force is probably something you're doing wrong. I do not recommend this replacement for novices, as many laptops as I have taken apart, Im still surprised I only broke a single tab on the bezel.*
Some comparions between the AUO vs this SEC:
1. Text is very very crisp.
2. Colors are so much more accurate. The AUO was drowned in blues (false whites)
3. AUO was over saturated with brightness. I could barely tell I had backlight leekage because the whole panel was leaking. (Hence why the text is so much more crisp, my blacks are darker)
4. Grain is gone now. On the AUO if you looked from the top down, you would not see the grain. Instead you would see the pixel structure. But everything was washed out at this angle.
So, thanks for bringing the issue to my attention. Keep up the complaining. When there's an issue, the forums should be flooded like they were.
Also, this SEC panel did have a Samsung sticker on the back. On the front of the panel, on the silver edging, there was a model number stamped (LTN141WD-L07) If you google this number, it IS in fact a Samsung panel.
*Thumbs up to Dell for having this panel fly in over night. I called them yesterday afternoon and they shipped from Texas to NY over night. Rock on.
Also, I have pictures, not the highest quality. If you need pics let me know. I have some of the antennas routing, the power converter (behind the Dell logo that gets hot) and tons more.

Congrats on the good replacement. I also received a sec4557 as my replacement and it is worlds apart. There is a little bit of light leakage at the bottom but overall I am much happier with my 1420 now
