Can someone actually tell me every step to doing this? I don't want to mess anything up. What is the first thing I do to even start it? Also, if I want to keep some stuff, like dell media or whatever it is, how do I do that. If anyone could give me complete re-install instructions, I would greatly appreciate it.

My gf's came today, and it wasn't even supposed to ship until the 28th, so we were very happy. Anyways, we had it on, and tried to open two seperate programs at once, just like IE and one other thing, and it completely locked up.

I went into Windows task manager, and there were 62 processes running, and 100% CPU usage.

I made a post for someone else before its not totally step by step but the bits it doesn't cover are increadably straight forward like picking your version of vista. It can be found here:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=156863

If you want to keep the media direct just make sure you don't delete any partitions or make new ones. when vista asks you which partition to install to just pick the one it was already on, format it, select it again and press next. all the other dell stuff is installed in windows and can be downloaded from the dell website in the support/downloads section.

And during the windows install process if your unsure about something liek weather you want Automatic updates or not just leave it
