Eventhough, I really don't mind carrying around M90, i really hate carring A/C Adapter it came with. It's so huge and it doesn't really fit well in my bag, so I think I am going to ebay and do a search for another A/C adapter or dock station for my work. Will any 130W A/C adapter from Dell work on my M90? Does anybody know where to get cheap dock station for my M90?
I did a search on ebay and docking for Precision is $123.I want to know if I can buy it cheaper.
Thanks....

third party 130W a/c adaptors are hard to find. 120W tends to be the max - you might try the iGo (they make multiple a/c solutions, but probably will be the same size & weight).
The kensington 120W slim adaptor has been reported to work with the m1705 somewhere on this board. The poster said that it will only charge the battery with it, so you can't actually run the notebook with it plugged in. -
you try those alternate adapters like at circuitcity? they are pretty small.

Just wondering, would this adapter work with my E1705?

I have both the Kensington 120W AC/DC and the 120W DC units. They work perfectly on my Latitude D620. On my M1710, however, if the charger is plugged in at power-on, the M1710 won't boot (a BIOS message appears stating a 130W PS is needed). Once booted, however, the Kensington 120W charger DOES charge and power the M1710 (and M90 since it is mostly the same unit). BUT, it does so with the system running at the slower speed (1Ghz in my case). Another option is to use the Kensington to charge your laptop to full capacity when it is turned off, then fire it up fully charged and run normally.
Given the EXTREMELY SMALL SIZE of these adapters, I am willing to sacrifice a little (only on my M1710) in terms of speed when plugged in...
To be honest, I don't know how they fit 120W of power into such a small size (especially the DC only unit, which is smaller and thinner than a pack if cigarettes!). -
Yes it will -
If you can pick up a D/Port off of ebay (I paid $25 for mine) you will still need to get an extra 130w AC adapter. You can get them from Dell or on ebay. If you buy a D/Dock it has a 130w adapter built in.

I would love to have the D/Dock, but it's ridiculously expensive. I don't really have anything to plug into it anyway, so I don't have the need for it. But I think the price will probably keep me from ever buying it.

You can get one off of ebay much more reasonable, but if you don't have anything to plug into it there isn't a reason to get one. I opted for the D/Port since I don't have a use for the D/Bay.

It's not hard to find D/dock for 60-100 on ebay....
I need help!!! I really hate carrying A/C adapter for M90!!!!
