    Hello -
A couple of months ago I spilled some water on my Dell laptop. I replaced the keyboard and the computer runs fine - except for one thing. Whenever I have the volume on, the keyboard makes beeping sounds when typed upon. The laptop is an Inspiron 2200, and the keyboard I replaced it with is the same exact one as the damaged keyboard. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

I doubt changing the keyboards would cause that, so the beeping sounds are most likely a setting in XP. You might check your keyboard settings in the control panel.

Does this happen when you only press a certain key combination? I know there is an option where if you press 2 keys at once it beeps, but I've never heard of the keyboard beeping when you are regularly typing.
