Which should I get? I have to call back soon to get it, I live in Canada BTW. What's important to notice is that I get the non-TrueLife screen (I assume is less glare correct?), VISTA Home BAsic, and 40GB LESS for $40 more in the first setup. This is because I don't want the TrueLife screen but the discount on Vistro 1500 here only allows for TrueLife screens to be selected, and forget the difference in OS, it will be changed to XP as soon as I get it.

The reason I didn't put this thread in the "What notebook should I buy?" forum is because I am asking Dell owners if $40 more and 40GB less is worth having an anti-glare screen. And I am desperately trying to figure out if 15.4 inch Wide Screen XGA LCD Display is in fact the anti-glare display and whether it has any reported problems worse than glare itself.

    Thanks a lot,
    Mike

personally I would choose the second option because I've heard Vista Home Basic isn't good, and the hard drive seems small. But I don't know how important the screen is to you.

second option. Vista Home basic is pretty fail, and better specs for cheaper price is pretty win.

I canceled everything altogether. I was pushing to get he bluetooth module included for $20 instead of $80 since it is actually worth $20 and they said no, so I went to the Dell store at a mall nearby and the manager said he'll look into it and that he'll make a deal with me and worse comes to worse, even if the module is still $80, he said he'll try to get me some compensation. So I canceled my original order over the phone and my deal at $1269 is still up until August 24th.

And I am sticking to that setup, so thanks guys for knocking some sense into my head, lol, cheaper and better specs and I doubted it.

    Thanks,
    Mike
