    I officially hate dell support.

Ok, so my laptop came, as soon as I turn it on, the LCD display is distorted. All the colors were messed up. So, I called in, and they sent a repair man the next day, he replaced it, but when he replaced it, he broke the touch media buttons. And on the bottom of the LCD, where it says "dell", is starting to peel off since the repair, as well as the back where it says "xps". Both areas are noticably bulging, and need to be glued back down or something... Also, my caps lock button is sitting shallower that the rest of the keys. Not really an issue, as it still works, but I mean... for $2,000 everything should be flawless!

P.s. I'm not sure if its me or the computer, but I can't get the figerprint scanner to work for the life of me, it ALWAYS says "bad quality", or "too short" whenever I try to use it, I've never gotten a good read. But I always get a good read on my dad's 3 year old laptop.

Definitely call them back, and just ask for a replacement laptop because everything is going wrong on it.

Also, I can't get my fingerprint reader to work for the life of me either. It's always "bad quality" even though I don't have any cuts on my finger, and I'm doing it just like it says. I swear, I've spent like 30 minutes trying it.

As they said! Return it soon and get it replaced. As for the fingerprint scanner. I have trouble with it also. It doesn't work if my finger's wet or if I don't push with some pressure. There is a tutorial where you can practice until you get it right. Hope it all works out.

I echo the sentiments of others and say, call Dell and return it. Go back to the website and order another one. As others have mentioned for 2 grand it should be flawless. Besides the XPS line has been Dell's consumer flagship line. You should expect more for 2K. ;)

Lemons exist. Sucks, but it happens. Call 'em up and get a new one, I'm sure you won't have any trouble with that. :)
