    Yo, that's a really nice remote though. I am keeping that either way. I will almost most likely complain to Dell, then get another free remmote.

    That's the standard Windows MEdia Center 2005 remote. I hvae that on my desktop. The 0961 part number is the correct express card slot one.

    I guess that's why they said you have to order a Media Center PC to get it - that's what came with my Media Center 2005 XPS 410.

    LOL. You know whats funny, I called Dell just like 10 minutes ago, and the guy I was talking to in the Sales Department said that that item # I gave him, would not work for the Vista operating system. And that that one wouldn't fit in the express card slot.

    DMAK you crack me up, tryin to get everything you can for free...lol I can't say nothing I do too..lol. Still waiting on the verdict about the lap~bag I asked for.
    So are we completely 100% certain that the correct model no. is 412-0961. Because honestly, That remote does look nice, but I would rather have the one that just fits in my expresscard slot.

    That big remote only works with the tv tuner..which was not included..meaning its a replacement remote. Not worth having it delivered if ya ask me.

    I can't get Dell's accessories site to work with a damn, and I am about to just tell my case manager that I had the wrong part no: and that the bluetooth $60 remote was the right one...lol

    Well, I did order bluetooth because I wanted to be able to use the BT mouse so I would have one less thing plugged into my usb's. I am just getting more and more pissed off because I can't find anyone that has the real part no: we need.

    This is what I plan to do when I recieve my laptop. Call in, tell them about the 8600M GT, then ask about the remote. The remote wasn't available on the site when we were ordering. If they can't give me the 2 things I want, I am just going to return it. Not my lost, only theirs. I will go and get a REAL 8600M GT.

    I am sorry, but that is simply unacceptable, I ordered a laptop with various options included in it for the sole purpose of not having to plug stuff in. I am very adamant about the only thing I ever have to plug into my laptop be it's power, and every now and then a thumbdrive, and that is only If I don't have a network I can transfer files across. So as far as that goes, I guess maybe if they won't give me the bluetooth expresscard remote, then maybe I can get her to credit my account the difference, or maybe some other little accessory that I might find.
