    I saw the 1502 at a Dell Kiosk...kind of!

I stopped by the Dell Kiosk at my local mall today and saw a mock up of the Inspiron 1520. At first I thought it was a real system (it looked and felt like the real thing) but they are first expecting real systems in a couple of weeks. It was sitting right next to the previous Inspiron 1501 model and I have to say the new Inspirons are WAY nicer than the models they are replacing. Much more modern looking and I like the rubberized feel of the lid, the keyboard design is much improved as well. I like it better than the HP dv6000 which I thought was a pretty nice design. All in all I'm impressed by the new Inspiron design.

1502 or 1520? I think that's a typo... unless dell is releasing yet another new notebook.

It sounds like he's talking about the 1520. This notebook is already out, and people already have them.

O.K. But the new inspirons are quiet bulky and heavy. I don't like the white keyboards they come with. The white keys look cheap.

The keys are silver, not white. It's very similar to the keyboard on the M1210 only with larger peripheral keys. It actually feels much better than the 1505 keyboard.

Thanks. It looks kinda white in the pics. But I think that a black keyboard would give a much richer look with the silver background (touchpad and base). I am avoiding to buy the 1520 only for this reason.
