This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Now how does something like that make it past a final QC check? I can't believe that's something that would fail only in transit after it left the manufacturing facility...

    Mr Dell is coming to fix it tomorrow. Which is nice.

    This was an outlet jobbie, so I doubt I'd get a replacement lappie.

    Plugged it into my work monitor and it does appear to be the lcd and not the graphics card.

    I just hope the screen I get in return is as nice and as crisp as this one. Of course minus the lines!

    I've been given a Crimson Red btw, its a really nice colour. Soft touch. I was expecting something shiny.

    I'll happily put up with someone changing my monitor over considering the nice price I got this for.

    Widge, other than the bummer white lines how is the computer? Does it look new? I'm still waiting on my refurb. its on the way. I'm hoping I get a good one.

    looks bang on. totally new looking. quiet. not tried the headphone jack yet though.
